Kenosis

LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD THOUGHT EQUALITY WITH GOD NOT SOMETHING TO BE GRASPED, BUT EMPTIED HIMSELF.... Paul of Tarsus - Phillipians 2:5-7

Kenosis is no longer on the air. Currently we are adopting children, and that takes up all our time.

However, you may listen to our archived programs. Sometimes the approach is humorous, sometimes serious, but hopefully authentic. Some programs have musical interludes, and most end with a Scriptural meditation. While the style is unorthodox, the theology is not.

Kenosis is the Greek word for the process of emptying oneself. In his letter to the Philippian church Paul encourages us to practice the same emptying by which Jesus Christ set aside his privileges and rights when He became human. It is a guiding principle in our approach to God to imitate Christ in emptying ourselves, laying down our perceived rights, and dying to ourselves, in order that He might live through us more fully. Please note that we do not subscribe to kenotic theology, which holds that Jesus gave up His divinity to become man. Rather, we believe that Jesus as the God-man humbled himself fully.
